MALIK EL-SHABAZZ.

"We declare our right on this earth to be a man, to be a human being, to be respected as a human being, to be given the rights of a human being in this society, on this earth, in this day, which we intend to bring into existence by any means necessary."
— Malcolm X.

BOOKER'S PLACE: A MISSISSIPPI STORY.

Day 2: Booker's Place: A Mississippi Story by Raymond De Felitta.
Another solid watch on Netflix.

Booker Wright was a waiter who worked in a whites only restaurant and was possibly murdered because of the short interview he did in 1965 with NBC about racism in the south. Raymond De Felitta's faher, Frank De Felitta interviewed Booker Wright in 1965.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH.

What better way to commemorate this month? Thank you Netflix!

CURRENTLY READING...

I have spent quite a quality time with this book I'm reading titled "The Art of War" by Sun-Tzu. It is a hard read and needs undivided attention. The book itself, well, the content written by Sun-Tzu is almost 1500 years old and has been translated into many different languages and the version I have is translated and edited by John Minford. Minford wrote an introduction before getting into the book itself and what I love is that he referred to a bunch of other books that correlates with The Art of War to help understand the content of book. A lot of people know about Confucius but not of Sun-Tzu and if you are a fan of Confucius you will enjoy this book even though its sort of a hard read I highly recommend it. I don't know where my obsession for ancient books came from but I'm happy I discovered it.
This is a book of wisdom.
